China's March New Ship Orders Account for 39%

According to data released by Clarkson, a British shipbuilding and maritime dynamic analysis agency, South Korean shipping companies received 800,000 compensated gross tonnage of orders in March, ranking second in the world with a market share of 33%. China ranks first in the world with a market share of 39% (950,000 compensated gross tonnage). Looking at the cumulative orders received in the first quarter of this year, South Korean shipping companies ranked first in the world with a market share of 44% (3.12 million compensated gross tonnage).
