Beijing: Intensify Efforts to Update Old Courtyards, Residential Areas, Dilapidated Buildings and Simple Buildings

The Municipal Working Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee held a plenary meeting on the afternoon of April 3. The meeting emphasized that greater strides should be made in urban renewal. Focus on improving the quality of living, and increase efforts to update old one-story courtyards, old communities, dilapidated buildings, and simple buildings. Focus on creating more dynamic spaces, and accelerate the renewal of old factories, inefficient industrial parks, old and inefficient buildings and traditional commercial facilities. Focus on making up for shortcomings in public service facilities, and do a good job in updating old municipal infrastructure and public safety facilities.
