China Aims to Create Large Copper Mining Groups and Raise Consolidation Rate of Top Five Copper Smelters

Copper industry enterprises should actively promote the improvement of industrial concentration, according to China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.

In China, one or two large-scale mining enterprise groups with a copper output of about 1 million mt shall be created, and the industrial concentration of the top five copper smelting enterprises should rise to about 70%.
