Enpower Plans to Launch Rare-Earth-Free Motors Before 2025

On March 30, Liu Hongxin, chief engineer of electric motor drive products at Enpower R&D Center, revealed at 2023 the third EVH New Energy Powertrain Annual Conference that rare-earth-free motors are mature. It might not be lightweight, but its performance will be normal. Enpower set a rare-earth-free goal when planning the production of its motors. The rare-earth-free motor was originally planned to be launched in 2025, but was launched ahead of schedule when Tesla also announced to reduce rare earth in its products. Earlier, Tesla stated that it would reduce the application of permanent magnet synchronous motors in automobiles.
