Production Pace of Construction Industry Accelerates in March

SHANGHAI, Mar 30 (SMM) - The overall production pace of construction industry has accelerated in March, but that in Guangdong slowed down owing to the heavy rains. The production progress of some projects in north China has not yet returned to normal amid insufficient personnel. New projects have increased month-on-month as the new government housing construction projects increased significantly and real estate projects increased slightly. The procurement of raw materials increased month-on-month as the financial constraints of some enterprises have eased. In addition, the increasing number of new projects also drove up the purchase volume.
