Spot Lithium Carbonate Market Freezes amid Downward Price Cycle, with Long-Term Contracts Dominating

As lithium carbonate prices keep falling, trades in the spot market have almost ground to a halt. The very few transactions that were struck were merely contributed by long-term orders.

Inquiries from buyers were very thin, not to mention deals. Customers used to stock up on at least one month of lithium carbonate last year when the market was in a boom, but now basically make purchases on a weekly basis out of fears that prices could go down further.
