The CME FedWatch Tool showed 33% odds of a 25-basis point rate hike at the US Fed's May meeting. The rate is expected to be 3.96% at the end of the year.
Economists at Barclays Bank expect the Fed to raise rates by another 25 basis points in May, bringing the benchmark rate to 5.00-5.25%.
After its May meeting, the US Fed will pause rate hikes and maintain that range for the rest of the year.
