SHANGHAI, Mar 21 (SMM) - According to the data, the recycling volume of LFP battery scrap exceeded that of ternary battery scrap. However, due to the wide fluctuation of lithium carbonate prices in February, the prices of LFP battery scrap fell rapidly, which weighed on the downstream demand. The large increase in LFP battery scrap recycling volume mainly came from processing companies, who have a strong ability to resist risks, and whose monthly scrap supply is stable. Therefore, the amount of LFP battery scrap treated by processing companies far exceeded that by ordinary recycling companies in February.
In February, the prices of LCO battery scrap began to set based on the cobalt and lithium salt pricing model. But due to its poor cost performance, the recycling volume of LCO battery scrap was still not high.
