SHANGHAI, Mar 8 (SMM) - On February 27, the National Mine Safety Administration issued the Notice on Carrying out Special Safety Checks and Crackdowns on Open-Pit Mines.

SHANGHAI, Mar 8 (SMM) - On February 27, the National Mine Safety Administration issued the Notice on Carrying out Special Safety Checks and Crackdowns on Open-Pit Mines, involving mines who are under normal production and construction, as well as those who have resumed or will resume production in 2023. The safety checks and crackdowns will start in March 2023 and last until the end of the year. Mines shall complete self-checks and rectifications before the end of March, after which key mines will undergo safety checks until the end of August. From September till the end of October, regulators will check again to see whether the safety issues have been resolved. Work summary will be completed before the end of December.
