SMM Forecast for US Aluminium Scrap Production 2022-2042

SHANGHAI, Mar 6 (SMM) -According to SMM estimates, from 2022 to 2042, the production of aluminium scrap in the United States will increase from 4.57 million mt to 8.58 million mt. The reason for the increase in recycling in the United States is somewhat similar to that in Europe. The production of lighter cars will promote the increase in the unit aluminium consumption in the US auto industry, which in turn promotes the increase in the production of aluminium scrap in the United States. In addition, the release of US environmental protection and recycling-related policies will also greatly promote the development of the US recycling industry.
