DMC Plants Waiting to Raise Prices Again after Downstream Producers Digest Their Raw Material Inventory

SHANGHAI, Feb 24 (SMM) - DMC prices rose this week, and stood between 17,400-18,200 yuan/mt as of February 23. DMC plants in Shandong raised their quotations by 100 yuan/mt to 17,400 yuan/mt, while top-tier ones kept their offers unchanged at 17,500 yuan/mt. Mainstream transaction prices gained 500 yuan/mt to 18,000 yuan/mt. Some producers even hiked their offers to 18,200 yuan/mt.

DMC plants were waiting to raise their prices again after downstream producers digested their raw material inventory. The mainstream prices of DMC are expected to remain stable in the short term as sharp price hike could dent downstream buying enthusiasm.
