Power Battery Output Totalls 52.5 Wh in December 2022, down 16% on the Month

SHANGHAI, Feb 14 (SMM) - Power battery output totalled 52.5 Wh in December 2022, down 16% on the month and up 66% on the year. In December, the output of power batteries experienced the largest decline since April 2022. In detail, the output of ternary batteries reached 18.5 Gwh, a year-on-year increase of 62%, and a slight decrease of 21% month-on-month. The output of LFP batteries stood at 33.9 Gwh, up 69% YoY and down 13% MoM. The month-on-month LFP battery output fell less, which was contributed by the better sales of companies that use LFP batteries, such as BYD. The market share of LFP battery output gained three percentage points from the previous month to 65%, the highest level in 2022.
