Manganese Market May Weaken if the Supply Increases Significantly

SHANGHAI, Oct 19 (SMM) - The average spot price of EMM in the main producing areas was 15,600-15,800 yuan/mt, flat on the month. The FOB prices stabled at $2,200-2,300/mt. At present, the EMM market remained stable. Although the market experienced some declines, the overall market held the prices firm, and there was little room for decline in the short term. The market needs to pay attention to the changes in supply and demand after a large-scale manganese plant in north China resumes the production. If the supply increases significantly, the prices may fall under the current demand.
