Secondary Lead: Lead Prices Remained Weak with Few Quotations in the Spot Market

Lead prices remained weak today, while the prices of lead-acid battery scrap were high.

The secondary refined lead smelters were less active in selling cargoes with a sharp fall in quotations. Some smelters stood firm to the prices in order to consume finished product inventory.

The mainstream quotations of the secondary refined lead stood at the discounts of 175-0 yuan/mt (tax included), and the downstream purchased on rigid demand with modest transactions in the spot market.
