SHANGHAI, Mar 24 (SMM) - Silicon prices continued downward trend today, while Tianjin port 441# silicon stood at 22,700-22,800 yuan/mt, 3303# silicon at 23,500-23,700 yuan/mt. Some of the downstream users had been bidding for procurement. Due to the adequate silicon metal spot supply and weak purchases, some silicon holders continued to decrease quotations for fear that the prices kept falling. Because there were always sources at low prices, downstream buyers were more willing to depress prices and maintained rigid purchases.
