China Rare Earth Exports Fell in July and Prices Rose, What is the Driving Force?

China rare earth exports in July stood at 3955 mt, down 1.4% month on month but surged 144.2% year on year according to the General Administration of Customs. The average export prices was $16460/mt, up 23% month on month and 5% year on year. The export volume totalled 1620 mt in the same period of last year.

[SMM Rare Earth Flash] ASX 상장사 Hastings Technology Metals가 서호주 Yangibana 희토류·니오븀 프로젝트 1단계의 업데이트된 최종 타당성 조사(DFS) 결과를 발표했다. 이 프로젝트는 합작 투자로 진행되며 Wyloo Gascoyne이 60%, Hastings가 40%의 지분을 보유한다. 업데이트된 DFS에 따르면 세전 순현재가치(NPV)는 6억 4,900만 호주 달러, 내부수익률(IRR)은 34%, 투자 회수 기간은 2.4년으로 확인됐다. 초기 자본 투자액은 3억 3,300만 호주 달러이며, 광산 수명은 19년, 연평균 정광 생산량은 3만 7,000톤이다. 이 프로젝트는 총 희토류 산화물(TREO) 품위 0.90% 기준 2,093만 톤의 광석 매장량에 기반을 두고 있다. 네오디뮴-프라세오디뮴(NdPr)이 TREO의 37%를 차지하며, 프로젝트 매출의 90% 이상을 견인할 것으로 예상된다. 모든 환경 승인을 취득했으며, 인프라 및 장납기 장비는 이미 현장에 반입된 상태다.
