SMM: recently, Chengdu Transportation Bureau, Chengdu Public Security Bureau, Chengdu Economic and Information Bureau, Chengdu Municipal Party Committee Network Information Office, Chengdu Commerce Bureau and Chengdu Market Regulatory Administration jointly initiated the implementation of the new regulations on ride-hailing-- the detailed rules for the Management of Chengdu Network booking Taxi Service.

It is worth mentioning that the new regulations almost force new cars to use new energy vehicles, adding to the popularity of new energy vehicles.

However, it is also mentioned in the new regulations that vehicles that have submitted information to apply for a "network booking taxi transport certificate", or vehicles that have obtained a "network reservation taxi transport certificate" and only change the vehicle owner to reapply for the "network reservation taxi transport certificate" may not be subject to the relevant conditions of the new "implementation rules".

On the other hand, the implementation rules also clarify the rights and obligations of third-party information service platforms and third-party business partners. Stipulate that third-party information service platforms and third-party business partners have the obligation to protect the safety of passengers' lives and property, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of passengers and protect the legitimate rights and interests of drivers. The regulation also adds a "mandatory" guarantee to the personal safety of passengers.

It is reported that the detailed rules for the implementation of the rules have been formally implemented since July 26, 2021, and at the same time that the new rules came into effect, the rules for the implementation of Chengdu online booking Taxi Service (interim) issued on November 5, 2016 will be repealed.
