SMM July 12: recently, the first domestic power battery after-sales service requirement standard, which was established by China Chamber of Commerce and drafted by Ningde Times and other companies, has been implemented nationwide.

It is reported that the standard includes systematic contents such as service resource construction, personnel requirements, service delivery, recycling of old parts, and service quality assurance, as well as an appendix to the "Code of practice for the maintenance of Power Battery equipment." stipulate the relevant service operation safety and technical requirements of power battery equipment.

Experts believe that the standard fills the gap in the after-sales service requirements of the domestic power battery industry, and the relevant enterprises in the power battery industry can further improve their related service work in accordance with the relevant indicators of the standard.

As the "heart" of new energy vehicles, power battery plays an irreplaceable role in the field of new energy vehicles. With the popularity of new energy vehicles, the huge dividends brought by power batteries also allow a number of enterprises to move forward one after another. In the first half of this year alone, China's power battery output totaled 74.7 GWH, an increase of 217.5% over the same period last year.

Therefore, in the new energy vehicles continue to be hot today, a number of power battery companies have also embarked on the road of production expansion. SMM predicts that with the continued growth of the new energy market in 2021, the demand for lithium batteries in the new energy market is expected to reach 102GWH in 2021, an increase of 60 per cent year on year.

At the same time, China has also paid more and more attention to the power battery industry. some time ago, in view of the problem of power battery recycling, the National Development and Reform Commission also issued a notice on the issuance of the 14th five-year Plan for the Development of Circular economy, which mentioned the need to "continuously promote the action of recycling waste batteries, strengthen the construction of traceability management platform for power batteries of new energy vehicles, and improve the traceability management system for recovery and utilization of power batteries of new energy vehicles." It can be seen that the country attaches great importance to power batteries.

And institutions also maintain a positive attitude towards power batteries. Dongguan Securities has said that the scale of the global lithium-ion battery industry continued to grow from 2015 to 2019, with an average annual compound growth rate of 14.97%. With the prosperity of the new energy vehicle industry, the shipments of power batteries will continue to rise, and the lithium material industry will usher in a period of rapid growth.
