On May 31, Renajie Semiconductor issued a statement on price adjustment, saying that with the increasing tension in the supply chain, the shortage of wafer and packaging resources and the impact of factors such as another sharp rise in costs and the extension of the production cycle, causing costs to rise sharply again! In order to strive for supply capacity, provide stable supply and achieve continuous cooperation, the company has carefully decided to adjust the prices of some products again:

1. The price of the product will be increased by 5%, 20%, depending on the actual product model.

2. The price adjustment date is from May 31, 2021, before which the order has been signed and the contract still carries out the original price.

It is understood that as early as 2020, due to the rapid outbreak of demand in areas such as automobiles and the Internet of things, international companies such as ST and Renesas did not provide timely supply of market demand, and production capacity was also restricted by various "natural and man-made disasters", resulting in rising import MCU prices, prolonged delivery, and out of stock in the market, while with downstream distributors hoarding and speculation, the prices of some models of MCU products have increased by more than 10 times.

Under the influence of the continuous escalation of trade frictions between China and the United States and the rising price of shortage, some downstream terminal manufacturers switch to domestic brand MCU, resulting in a strong market demand for domestic MCU on the market, and the situation of shortage and price increase is more common.
