SMM11, March 12: recently, Australian lithium producer Pilbara Minerals said it bought competitor Altura Mining for about US $175 million.
The company will pay $155 million in cash in advance and will pay about $20 million for a stake in Altura Lithium Operations upon successful completion of the deal.
Altura Lithium Operations is a wholly owned subsidiary of Altura Mining, which owns and operates the Altura lithium project in the western part of the Pilgangoora lithium-tantalum mine in Pilbara Minerals.
