If a major or serious accident of environmental pollution by solid waste is caused, a fine of less than 50% of the income obtained from the unit in the previous year shall be imposed; if he commits six illegal acts, such as the unauthorized transfer of hazardous waste without approval, he shall be punished by administrative detention.

4. Whoever transfers hazardous waste through the transit of the people's Republic of China shall be ordered by the Customs to return the hazardous waste and be fined not less than 500000 yuan but not more than 5 million yuan.

According to the Suzhou Ecological and Environmental Law Enforcement Bureau, on the first day of the implementation of the new solid waste Law, Suzhou issued the city's first ticket, and an enterprise was fined 100000 yuan for setting non-standard hazardous waste warehouses.
