Aluminium billet inventories rose 3,900 mt on week on larger arrivals

SHANGHAI, Sep 24 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet in China increased this week due to increased arrivals.

SMM data showed that aluminium billet stocks across the five major consumption areas — Foshan, Wuxi, Huzhou, Changzhou and Nanchang — in China built up 3,900 mt from a week ago to 71,500 mt as of Thursday September 24.

Inventories in Foshan and Nanchang accumulated week on week, while stocks in Wuxi, Changzhou, and Huzhou declined.
