This is the news from the 2020 (12th) China Aluminum carbon Annual meeting and the upstream and downstream supply and demand docking meeting held in Luoyang, Henan Province on September 22. With full hope, the aluminum carbon industry, guided by the theory that "Green Water and Green Mountain is Jinshan and Silver Mountain", is creating a new situation of intelligent manufacturing to promote the high-quality development of the industry.
Fan Shunke, deputy secretary of the party committee and president of the aluminum carbon branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, Duan Debing, deputy secretary general and director of the policy research office of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, Zhang Xiaowei, vice president of the Chinalco Materials Co., Ltd., vice president of the aluminum branch of Yunnan Aluminum Co., Ltd., Meng Jie, executive deputy secretary general of the aluminum branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, Zhou Xinmin, deputy secretary of the party committee of the Institute of Nonferrous Metals Technology and Economics, and Li Shuyuan, chairman of Hebei Jinke Environmental Protection equipment Co., Ltd., attended the meeting. Fan Shunke said in his speech that since 2019, under the guidance of Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and adhering to the new concept of development, the development of aluminum carbon industry has made new achievements and new bright spots.
First, remarkable achievements in environmental protection, aluminum carbon enterprises in key areas can basically meet the national requirements for ultra-low emission of flue gas, pollutant emission control has also achieved remarkable results, the workshop of each enterprise is clean and tidy, and the environment of the factory area is beautiful. In 2019, three enterprises, including Suotong Development, Suotong Qili and Huaxu New Materials, were rated as Class An enterprises by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and more than a dozen enterprises were awarded Class B enterprises.
Second, a consensus has been reached in promoting intelligent manufacturing. At the request of the member units, the aluminum carbon branch has organized and formulated the intelligent manufacturing plan for the aluminum carbon industry. Fan Shunke mentioned that now, the realization of intelligent manufacturing has reached a consensus in the industry, backbone enterprises have formulated intelligent development plans combined with their own reality, and equipment manufacturing enterprises have talked about intelligent manufacturing solutions from their respective areas of focus. A series of key problems, such as intelligent online monitoring, intelligent batching, intelligent temperature control, and so on, have been launched. The research and development of some key equipment, such as intelligent online monitoring, intelligent block cleaning and intelligent fixture, have achieved phased results.
Third, the development of aluminum carbon industry returns to rationality. In 2019, the aluminum carbon industry completed and put into production capacity of 900000 tons, a sharp drop from 2018. The major baking anode enterprises in the industry are upgrading, especially in improving productivity, capacity utilization and product quality, and achieved remarkable results.
Fan Shunke said that while the achievements are not easy to come by, we should also be soberly aware that the problems still exist and the situation is still grim. First, the rigid constraints of environmental protection are more stringent. Second, the operating environment of the industry is in urgent need of improvement. on the one hand, the COVID-19 epidemic seriously affects global economic development, which is very disadvantageous to the growth of electrolytic aluminum demand on the whole; on the other hand, aluminum carbon overcapacity, carbon anode capacity utilization rate of 68%, cathode capacity utilization rate of 46%, especially the cross-provincial transfer of electrolytic aluminum production capacity is bound to have a greater impact on the original commercial anode capacity in Henan, Shandong and other places. Third, science and technology intelligent manufacturing is lack of policy guidance and financial support.
Fan Shunke puts forward three suggestions on the high-quality development of the industry:
First, we should adhere to the bottom line of environmental protection and production safety, conscientiously understand General Secretary Xi Jinping's "two mountains theory", adhere to the bottom line of environmental protection, and build a beautiful China. At the same time, we should always be vigilant and stick to the bottom line that safety accidents will not occur.
The second is to actively integrate into the national strategy. Internally, actively adjust and adapt to the new production capacity layout of electrolytic aluminum. To the outside world, strive for more exports and create a new situation of "double cycle" in the aluminum carbon industry.
Third, it is necessary to steadily promote high-quality development. On the one hand, we should invest cautiously and not blindly expand and build new production capacity; on the other hand, we should pay attention to the upgrading and transformation of the transformation to intelligent manufacturing, and do a good job in strengthening management, optimizing resources, improving quality and reducing consumption, and comprehensive utilization of resources.
With regard to the development situation of the industry this year, Fan Shunke analyzed that in the first half of the year, the aluminum carbon industry worked hard to co-ordinate epidemic prevention and control and economic development, and the output and export of aluminum carbon showed a stable situation of double increase.
