According to SMM, many traders entering the manganese market in April indicated that most overseas steel mills had reduced their enquiries and signed significantly fewer orders, of which forged manganese and manganese products accounted for 26.96% in 2020, 24.39% in the United States, 15.37% in Japan and 10.44% in Brazil. According to SMM statistics, the total export volume of forged manganese and manganese products from January to June 2019 is 19887 tons, while that of unforged manganese products is 198523 tons in the first half of 2019. According to the current situation of shutdown and production reduction of overseas steel mills, it will be difficult to quickly resume production in the short term, or further reduce the demand for domestic manganese products, and it is expected that the export performance of various manganese products in 2020 may be difficult to reach a higher quantity.
