SHANGHAI, Apr 3 (SMM) – Inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port declined 3,000 mt from a week ago to 51,000 mt as of Friday April 3, showed SMM data.
The amounts of cargoes flowing in and out of warehouses at ports fell significantly from last week as traders mostly depleted their inventories and slowed down purchases on falling export orders, on the backdrop of the lockdown of some South-east Asian countries and suspension of overseas producers that consume Chinese silicon amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
