According to customs data, China's aluminum plate and strip exports totaled 2.616 million tons in 2019, down 6.39 percent from 2.7948 million tons in 2018. By country, Mexico, South Korea and the United States had the largest exports of aluminum plates and strips in 2019. The amount of aluminum sheet and strip exported to the three is 277800 tons, 239300 tons and 147900 tons respectively.

China's aluminum strip exports totaled 2.616 million tons in 2019, down 6.39 percent from 2.7948 million tons in 2018, according to customs data.

Among them, there are 11 tax code numbers under the nouns of aluminum plate and strip, which are 76061121, 76061129, 76061191, 76061199,76061220,76061230,76061251, 76061259, 76061290, 76069100,76069200 respectively.

Among the 11 tariff numbers, the largest export volume was 76061251 (aluminum alloy rectangular plate, sheet, thickness > 0.35mm), the total export volume in 2019 was 805400 tons, followed by 76061220 (aluminum alloy rectangular plate, sheet, 0.2mm < thickness < 0.28mm), its export volume was 634900 tons, and 76061191 (other non-alloy aluminum rectangular plates, sheets and strips, 0.2mm < thickness < 0.3mm or > 0.36mm), the export volume was 564700 tons.

By country, Mexico, South Korea and the United States have the largest export volume of aluminum sheet and strip in 2019. The amount of aluminum sheet and strip exported to the three countries is 277800 tons, 239300 tons and 147900 tons respectively. In addition, China's aluminum plate and strip exports of more than 100000 tons of countries are Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Nigeria and Canada. Look at the picture below. Argentina, which had previously taken anti-dumping measures against Chinalco, ranked 63rd among a total of 193 countries exporting aluminum sheets and strips in 2019, accounting for a relatively small amount of 3300 tons.

Although the total export volume of aluminum plate and strip in 2019 is slightly lower than that in 2018, it is still the second highest in the past eight years, and the export base in 2018 is still in a reasonable range because of the export front of tariff friction and the low ratio of Shanghai to London. Although the export volume in 2019 is about 6%, it is still in a reasonable range. As far as the export volume of aluminum plate and strip in the first quarter of 2020 is concerned, according to the current research of SMM, it is expected that the holiday and epidemic factors will have a greater impact, and the probability will be lower than that of the same period last year.

China's AC Production and Sales Decline in May 2026, Domestic Market Hit Hard

ChinaIOL monitoring data shows that in May 2026, China's household air conditioner production was 18.74 million units, down 10.0% YoY; sales were 19.58 million units, down 11.1% YoY; of which exports were 7.58 million units, down 4.2% YoY; and domestic sales were 12.00 million units, down 15.0% YoY.
