It was finally determined at 12040 yuan / ton, but in October the purchase volume of electrolytic manganese tablets was maintained at 4000 tons, and the purchase of manganese balls was 1200 tons, which did not increase or decrease.
According to SMM, looking back at the bidding prices of electrolytic manganese sheets and manganese balls in Baosteel in July and August, on the one hand, the market supply gradually accumulated and the supply exceeded demand; on the other hand, the overseas steel mills were in the summer break period, so the demand for domestic imports was not high, so transactions in overseas markets were light, accelerating the decline of manganese prices.
From September to October, most of the manganese factories in the south were interested in offering prices. Many traders said that at that time, the source of goods at low prices in the market was more difficult to find, and the purchase of rigid demand had to accept high prices. Therefore, the manganese triangle and Guangxi electrolytic manganese rose slightly by 200-300 yuan / ton, with spot quotations at 11400 yuan / ton. Before and after the National Day, due to the reduction in the purchase of electrolytic manganese by domestic and foreign steel mills, the current spot price of manganese plants has weakened. Therefore, some downstream operators think that the late electrolytic manganese spot price or there will be a small bearish mentality.
