TCs stood $1.45/mt lower than the 2018 benchmark of $82.25/mt

SHANGHAI, Nov 16 (SMM) – Chinese copper smelter Jiangxi Copper and Chilean miner Antofagasta agreed on 2019 copper concentrate treatment charges (TC) in their long-term contracts at $80.8/mt, and refining charges (RC) at 8.08 cent/lb on November 15, sources from both companies told SMM.

TCs stood $1.45/mt lower than the 2018 benchmark of $82.25/mt. SMM had expected the 2019 benchmark TCs to stand at $80-85/mt.
