SHANGHAI, Aug 24 (SMM) – Anhui steelmaker, Maanshan Iron & Steel settled the purchasing price of manganese flake for its September tender at 19,000 yuan/mt this week, SMM learned. This is 9.5%, or 2,000 yuan/mt, lower than its August tender. Procurement volume for the September tender stood at 480 mt.
Another steelmaking giant, Shanghai-based Baosteel, also settled the purchasing prices of manages products for its September tenders this week. The company did not issue any tenders for August. This week, Baosteel's purchasing price of manganese flake was heard at 18,800 yuan/mt with procurement volume of 3,500 mt. The price for manganese nodule was heard at 19,040 yuan/mt with procurement volume of 1,500 mt and the price for manganese ingot was heard at 19,300 yuan/mt with procurement volume of 1,100 mt.
Prices are all paid in acceptance and includes transport costs and tax.
