SHANGHAI, Nov.17 (SMM)-Wen Xianjun, Vice director of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA) says, currently what concerns aluminium industry most is the over rising price of raw materials. It is calculated than during first ten months this year, domestic average cost of electrolytic aluminium reaches 15,000 yuan per tonne, and keeps to rising to 16,000 yuan in November, which greatly squeezes profits of electrolytic aluminium enterprises. With regard to this issue, CNIA will continue to take strategy of “combination of dredging and blocking” to facilitate supply-side reform of electrolytic aluminium, saying on one hand to control newly-increased capacity strictly, on the other hand to promote aluminium application actively.
