Escalated Electricity Price nearby, Silicon Plants Being Reluctant to Sell out

SHANGHAI, Oct. 19 (SMM)－With the upcoming dry season in South, silicon plants in Yunan, Sichuan, Hunan are reluctant to sell out. They do not accept orders of ordinary price except old orders. Some silicon plants plan to stock up until furnace is shut down. Hence current offer is higher than mainstream price transaction price. November is the time for escalated electricity price in Yunnan during dry season in past years, but this year some silicon plants may suspend their production due to lack of power in early November. Some places of production in Sichuan will escalate electricity price to the level of normal season by the end of this month. Chenzhou City of Hunan Province will adjust the electricity price to dry season level. Local plants plan to suspend output then.
