Losses for Russian Nickel Imports Narrow, SMM Reports

SHANGHAI, Sept. 13 (SMM) – Losses for Russian nickel imports showed signs of narrowing over the past trading days of the week, Shanghai Metals Market survey finds. 

Premiums of Russian Nickel Hold Stable

Last week, losses for Russian nickel imports averaged around 1,019 yuan per tonne, up 420 yuan per tonne on a weekly basis. Trading sentiment in the imported market was extremely low over the period. Some traders offered premiums of Russian nickel at $230 per tonne, but no deals were reported. 

Premiums of Russian nickel were up $5 per tonne on a weekly basis due to limited supply in bonded area. Premiums for Sumitomo nickel held stable last week.
