Rusal Expects Global Aluminum Deficit to Expand in 2018

On August 26, Yongjie New Materials released its 2026 semi-annual report. During the reporting period, the company achieved operating revenue of 5.225 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.05%, and net profit attributable to the parent company of 514 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 176.65%; net profit excluding non-recurring items was 247 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 31.12%. The steady growth in net profit excluding non-recurring items stemmed from the company's focus on its main business, continuous optimization of its product structure, and promotion of internal operational efficiency improvement, which strengthened its core profitability. The significant surge in net profit and total profit was compounded by the positive factor of the completion and consolidation of the major asset restructuring in this period.

일본 음료 회사 기린은 포장재에서 발생하는 배출을 줄이고 보다 순환적인 포장 시스템으로 전환하기 위한 노력의 일환으로 재활용 및 저탄소 알루미늄의 활용 확대를 모색하고 있다. 회사는 재생에너지를 사용해 생산한 온실가스(GHG) 무배출 알루미늄과 재활용률이 높은 저배출 알루미늄을 검토 중이다. 또한 탄소 무배출 알루미늄 캔의 사용 가능성도 살펴보고 있다. 알루미늄, PET, 종이는 기린의 기후 리스크 평가에 포함된 포장재 소재다. 기린은 저탄소 경제로의 글로벌 전환이 더 강하게 진행된다는 지속가능 시나리오에서 탄소가격제가 2050년까지 포장 비용을 438억 엔(2억 7,540만 달러) 늘릴 수 있다고 추정한다. 스코프 3 대응으로 기린은 2025~2027년 사이 재활용 알루미늄, 그린 알루미늄, 저탄소 맥아에 약 2억 엔(120만 달러)을 지출할 것으로 예상한다. 이 금액은 2030년까지 47억 엔(2,950만 달러)으로 늘어날 전망이다

힌달코 인더스트리즈는 카르나타카주 벨라가비에 인도 최초의 초미세 침전 알루미늄 삼수화물(PPT ATH) 공장을 준공해, 할로겐 프리 방화·난연 용도에 쓰이는 특수 소재의 국내 생산을 추가했다. 새 시설의 초기 연간 생산능력은 3만 톤이며, 전선·케이블 부문을 비롯해 폴리머 애자, 단열재, 복합재, 도료, 전기차 응용 분야에서 증가하는 수요에 공급하는 것을 목표로 한다. 힌달코는 국내 시장이 성장함에 따라 이 공장을 6만 톤까지 증설할 수 있다고 밝혔다.
