More than 12 ports are forbid importing coal, and imported goods at many ports are under stricter examine.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 5 (SMM) – More than 12 ports are forbid importing coal, including Port of Keman in Fujian, Port of Ningde, Port of Dongwu and Port of Ledong in Hainan, which belong to China Huadian Corporation, China Datang Corporation, China Guodian Corporation and China Huaneng Group.

[SMM Analysis: "Export Boom" Pulse Peaks, SHFE/LME Price Ratio Recovery Pressures H2 Aluminum Foil Exports] According to the latest data from China's General Administration of Customs, in H1 2026, China's cumulative exports of aluminum foil (HS Code 7607-series) reached 683,200 mt, with a cumulative export value of about $1.479 billion. June exports alone hit 131,000 mt, a peak for H1, up 9.70% MoM and 24% YoY. The sharp surge in June exports was mainly driven by overseas clients locking in export orders earlier when the SHFE/LME price ratio was still widening, boosting shipments for the month.

로이터 통신 칼럼니스트 앤디 홈은 미사일 공격을 받은 UAE의 에미리트 글로벌 알루미늄(EGA) 알 타윌라 현장이 생산 재개 절차에 착수했으며, 알루미나 정제소는 이번 분기 내 생산을 재개할 것으로 예상된다고 전했다. 7월 2일까지 1,262개 전해조 중 89개가 재가동되었다. 바레인 알루미늄(알바) 제련소도 공격을 받았으나 생산 재개 진행 상황은 여전히 불분명하다. 카타르의 카탈룸은 생산 능력의 60%만 가동 중이다. 국제알루미늄연구소에 따르면, 2026년 상반기 걸프 지역의 총 알루미늄 생산량은 전년 대비 20% 감소했으며, 분쟁 발발 후 이 지역의 연간 환산 알루미늄 생산 감소량은 200만 미터톤을 초과했다. 상황이 완화되더라도 업계가 생산을 완전히 재개하려면 수개월이 걸릴 것이다.
