SHFE 1707 Zinc Closes Higher (2017-5-11)

SHANGHAI, May 11 (SMM) – SHFE 1707 zinc opened at RMB 21,590/mt today and hovered around RMB 21,580/mt, and climbed to RMB 21,710/mt after shorts left the market. In the afternoon, SHFE 1707 zinc fluctuated around RMB 21,740/mt, and surged to RMB 21900/mt with entry of longs, and closed at RMB 21,945/mt, up RMB 245/mt or 1.13%.

Trading volumes on SHFE 1707 zinc increased 103,000 to 381,000 lots, and positions added 7,076 to 277,000. SHFE 1707 zinc is expected to rise to RMB 22,000/mt this evening.
