China launched environmental protection inspections again recently.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 17 (SMM) – China launched environmental protection inspections again recently and made a great effect in Henan, SMM learned. All unqualified enterprises (including primary lead smelters) in Henan Lingbao Industrial Park were called to shut down.

In Jiyuan, some lead smelters cut output and all local secondary lead smelters closed down, and even scrap battery traders stopped trading.

No lead smelters in Hunan and Shandong were heard to suspend output. SMM will track and update the progress.

2026년 상반기 중국 유황 시장은 '수입 급감—생산 부진—수출 정체'의 전방위적 전이 사슬을 경험했다. 주요 데이터는 다음과 같다. 수입: 천연 유황 수입량은 1월 49만 7,200톤에서 6월 14만 7천 톤으로 감소했으며, 천연 유황과 정제 유황을 합산한 수입량은 전년 동기 대비 약 57.7% 감소했다. 중동산 비중은 약 40%에서 5%로 하락했다. 생산: 1~5월 전국 황산 생산량은 전년 동기 대비 1.6% 감소했으며, 후베이, 구이저우, 윈난 등 전통적 인산비료 생산지의 감소가 두드러졌다. 반면 안후이 등 제련 황산 생산 집중 지역은 오히려 증가세를 보였다. 수출: 6월 황산 수출은 거의 제로 수준으로 떨어졌으며, 매월 약 10만~15만 톤의 수출 물량이 내수 시장으로 유입되었다. 가격: 유황 가격은 연초 톤당 4,180위안에서 6월 최고 10,353.5위안으로 폭등했으며, 동 제련산 지수는 연초 대비 약 92% 상승했다.
