SHANGHAI, Dec. 30 (SMM) โ Disqualified secondary lead producers in Hebei keep steady operating rates with profits still left, SMM understood.
In Hebei, mainstream traded prices are at 7,300-7,400 yuan per tonne for scrap motive batteries while secondary lead prices to factory edge down slightly to 11,550-11,600 yuan per tonne at lead alloy producers, still leaving profits for local secondary lead producers. Moreover, local alloy producers show higher interest in buying secondary lead.
SMM survey of 8 secondary lead producers there indicates that 5 of them are still in operation, 1 is closed and 2 slightly cut production.
