SHFE Zinc Prices Climb RMB 130/mt (Dec. 25, 2015)

SHANGHAI, Dec. 25 (SMM) – SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,970/mt Thursday evening, then rose due to entry of longs, and closed the day at RMB 13,085/mt, up RMB 75/mt. Trading volumes on SHFE 1602 zinc contracts were 155,000 lots, and total positions were up 5,860 to 180,000.

SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 13,085/mt on Friday, then fluctuated between RMB 13,090-13,140/mt, with the high-end of RMB 13,160/mt, and closed the day at RMB 13140/mt, up RMB 130/mt. Trading volumes of SHFE 1602 zinc contracts decreased 171,000 to 403,000 lots, with total positions down 1,926 to 172,000. Trading volumes of SHFE zinc contracts increased 23,000 lots.
