SHANGHAI, Apr. 14 (SMM) – SHFE 1506 zinc contract prices opened higher at RMB 16,475/mt Monday evening, then inched down all the way and closed the day flat at RMB 16,395/mt. Trading volumes were down 18,818 to 52,192 lots, and total positions decreased 3,560 to 123,890.
SHFE 1506 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 16,390/mt on Tuesday, then fell with LME zinc prices, dipping to as low as RMB 16,255/mt in the afternoon, and closed at RMB 16,330/mt, down RMB 65/mt or 0.4%. Trading volumes decreased 13,604 to 134,046 lots, and total positions declined 9,274 to 118,176. SHFE 1506 zinc contract prices are expected to rise to remain steady this evening.
