AS Dukung Proyek Tanah Jarang Madagaskar untuk Diversifikasi Rantai Pasokan, Kurangi Ketergantungan pada China

[Kilasan Logam Tanah Jarang SMM] Pemerintah AS telah memutuskan untuk mendukung proyek logam tanah jarang Ampasindava di Madagaskar guna mendorong diversifikasi rantai pasok mineral kritis dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada pasokan logam tanah jarang dari Tiongkok. Pengembang proyek Harena Rare Earths menyatakan bahwa Lembaga Keuangan Pembangunan Internasional AS (DFC) telah berkomitmen hingga US$4,48 juta untuk pabrik percontohan, pengujian laboratorium, dan proyek perlindungan lingkungan, membuka jalan bagi pendanaan selanjutnya. Tambang logam tanah jarang adsorpsi ion ini direncanakan mulai berproduksi pada pertengahan 2028, dengan perkiraan hasil tahunan sekitar 4.000 mt oksida logam tanah jarang, yang mana sekitar 1.700 mt merupakan logam tanah jarang bahan magnetik seperti neodimium-praseodimium, disprosium, dan terbium. Total investasi proyek ini sekitar US$150 juta.

The China Rare Earth Industry Association focused on explaining the strategic landscape of China's rare earth resources—light rare earth needs to expand its applications, heavy rare earth has irreplaceable strategic value, and it directly confronted the impact of raw material price fluctuations on downstream applications.
