58.39亿元!5GWh!青海一钠电池及储能装备制造项目开工

According to information from the Haidong Industrial Park, on April 20, the key project introduced by the Haidong Industrial Park in Qinghai Province — the sodium-ion battery and energy storage equipment manufacturing project of Qinghai Zhaorui New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. — officially commenced construction.

It is reported that the Qinghai Zhaorui New Energy sodium-ion battery and energy storage equipment manufacturing project has a total investment of 5.839 billion yuan, covering an area of 278 mu. Focusing on the high-end new energy manufacturing sector, the project is expected to build two core production sites: a 5 Gwh sodium-ion battery cell facility and a 5 Gwh energy storage equipment manufacturing facility. The project is precisely aligned with the Haidong Industrial Park's positioning as a hub for new energy and new materials industries. Leveraging Qinghai's green electricity resource advantages, it is expected to create a leading sodium-ion battery and energy storage equipment manufacturing hub in north-west China with top-tier scale and technology, drive the park's new energy industry toward high-end and full-chain development, address shortcomings in energy storage equipment manufacturing, promote upstream and downstream industrial clustering, and accelerate the construction of a "green electricity + energy storage + equipment manufacturing" industrial ecosystem, effectively optimizing the park's industrial structure and enhancing core competitiveness. Upon completion, the project will fill the gap in Qinghai Province's sodium-ion battery industry, further optimize the park's industrial layout and activate green development momentum. It is expected to generate an annual output value of approximately 6.3 billion yuan and annual tax revenue of 380 million yuan, directly creating 1,400 jobs and indirectly creating 1,800 jobs, powerfully driving high-quality economic and social development in the park and injecting a strong new engine for industrial transformation and upgrading in Haidong City.

Public information shows that Qinghai Zhaorui New Energy was established in March 2026. Its business scope includes new energy prime mover equipment manufacturing; NEV auto sales; NEV electrical accessory sales; NEV battery swapping facility sales; NEV production and testing equipment sales; battery manufacturing; battery sales; battery parts and accessories sales; and storage battery leasing, among other businesses. The company is wholly owned by Guangdong Zhaorui New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.

[SMM Weekly Review] Second-Life Application Market Prices Rise, Cost Support Effect Significant, 2026.4.20-2026.4.23
This week, the second-life battery market saw overall prices edge up, with market conditions rising on cost support and demand boost. Cost side, prices of major lithium battery raw materials diverged this week. Lithium carbonate prices maintained a fluctuating yet upward trend, providing notable support to overall costs. Nickel sulphate prices edged up in tandem, while cobalt sulphate prices remained stable and edged down slightly. Under the combined effect of various raw materials, the cost side of second-life battery cells overall stayed high. Supply side, shipment pace of second-life battery cells as well as Grade A and Grade B battery cells for well-known mobile phones from battery cell manufacturers remained largely stable. The volume of goods circulating in the market showed no significant increase or decrease, and the supply side maintained an overall stable trend without causing notable disruption to market prices. Demand side, as lithium, cobalt, nickel and other salt products continued to fluctuate at highs over the long term, elevated costs provided strong support to second-life battery market prices, thereby driving overall market prices to edge up recently. Among them, high-demand battery cells in the ESS sector saw more significant price increases. Prices of mainstream ESS-grade battery cells such as Grade A 314Ah and 280Ah models continued to rise, with current price levels gradually approaching those of brand-new battery cells.
