Vietnam aims to become a key hub in the global lithium battery supply chain, but needs stronger logistics infrastructure to handle sensitive and hazardous goods like lithium batteries safely and efficiently.
Logistics challenges include specialised storage, transport and handling systems, especially through major ports such as Hai Phong and Cai Mep, Thi Vai, where current systems lag behind production growth. Effective logistics is seen as crucial to supporting the country’s ambitions in EV and energy storage exports and attracting further investment in battery manufacturing hubs across Vietnam.
