AM Green Group Signs 540 Billion Rupees MOU for Green Industrial Complex in Andhra Pradesh

AM Green Group in India recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Andhra Pradesh government, planning a total investment of 540 billion rupees ( around USD 6 billion) to build a green industrial complex. Of this, 440 billion rupees ( around USD 4.96 billion) will be allocated to construct a green aluminum project with an annual capacity of 1 million mt in Kakinada, to be developed in two phases, each with a capacity of 500,000 mt. The project will be supported by 2 GW of round-the-clock renewable energy supply and is expected to become the world's first million-mt-level aluminum smelting base to achieve zero carbon emissions, potentially reducing carbon emissions by over 80%. The remaining funds will be used to establish a cluster of bio-refineries to produce sustainable aviation fuel and other green chemical products.
