Copper to Hold Gains in 2026 as Mine Disruptions Fuel Deficit

Reuters now expect the average copper price on the London Metal Exchange (LME) to reach US $10,500 per tonne in 2026, following a series of mine disruptions in Indonesia, Congo and Chile. The refined copper market is projected to swing into a ~150,000-tonne deficit in 2026, reversing a prior forecast of a surplus.
