[Albemarle's Chilean lithium carbonate production lines partially halted] According to market news, lithium producer Albemarle's lithium carbonate production lines in Chile have been partially halted due to production safety issues. In the afternoon, the most-traded lithium carbonate contract on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange (GFEX) also surged significantly, rising by over 3,000 yuan from the morning. It is understood that Albemarle's total lithium carbonate production capacity in Chile is 80,000 mt/year. According to verification by SMM with relevant personnel, they indicated that they had not yet received relevant information.
