Public Notice for Shandong Lithium Battery Disassembly and Recycling Project

[Implementation of Shandong's Lithium Battery Refined Disassembly and Recycling Project] Recently, the People's Government of Feicheng City, Shandong Province, conducted the second public announcement on the environmental impact assessment for the project involving the recycling of NMP solvent used in lithium batteries, the comprehensive utilisation of graphene composite conductive materials and carbon-coated foil, as well as the refined disassembly and recycling of scrap lithium batteries. The existing project includes Phase I of the annual 50,000 mt lithium battery cathode material recycling and restoration project and an analytical laboratory. The construction content of Phase I of the annual 50,000 mt lithium battery cathode material recycling and restoration project includes: a pre-treatment workshop with pre-treatment equipment for LFP cathode materials, one production line for the recycling and restoration of LFP cathode materials, along with supporting public and auxiliary facilities, and environmental protection facilities, with an annual output of 5,000 mt of LFP cathode materials.

This week, ferrous metals continued their rebound trend, with finished products outperforming raw materials. Early in the week, the rally was primarily driven by raw materials, as uncertainty over the Middle East situation combined with market rumors of restricted Mongolian coal shipments boosted the coal sector, with other ferrous metals following suit. Mid-week, the General Offices of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council issued the "Opinions on Achieving Higher-Level and Higher-Quality Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction," which covered the steel industry, strengthening market expectations for supply-side reform. In the latter half of the week, data on the five major steel products were released, showing increases in both supply and demand along with inventory drawdowns, with finished products rallying more strongly than raw materials. Spot market side, as futures rose consecutively, end-user purchasing enthusiasm increased somewhat, the spot-futures price spread narrowed mid-week, and there was bargain-hunting activity in spot cargo...

[SMM Aluminum News Flash]Zhongfu Industrial announced on April 21 that, to further expand the company's diversified and low-carbon aluminum industry layout, broaden market reach, and strengthen overall market competitiveness, its wholly-owned third-tier subsidiary Qingchuan Zhongfu Secondary Aluminum Alloy Co., Ltd. planned to invest in a secondary aluminum alloy project with an annual capacity of 250,000 mt. The total investment of the project was reportedly 363.1 million yuan. The project was designed to produce 250,000 mt of secondary aluminum annually, including 130,000 mt of 3104 alloy secondary aluminum liquid (ingot) and 120,000 mt of aluminum and aluminum alloy round casting ingots. The construction mainly comprised a scrap pretreatment workshop and a melting and casting workshop.
