The Sealion 05 EV distinguishes itself from its PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehice) counterpart with a closed-off front fascia, a full-width LED light bar, and a more streamlined appearance. The significantly reduced lower grille size enhances its minimalist and futuristic aesthetic.

On the side, flush door handles and low-drag wheels not only refine the SUV's styling but also optimize aerodynamic efficiency. Black wheel arches and side skirts add a crossover-inspired ruggedness.

At the rear, a wave-patterned full-width taillight creates a striking visual impact when illuminated, while the illuminated BYD logo further enhances its premium appeal.

Inside, the Sealion 05 EV follows BYD's ocean-inspired aesthetic, offering a modern and elegant cabin. The 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel and 12.8-inch floating touchscreen provide a multi-layered, immersive driving experience. A column-mounted electronic gear selector ensures intuitive operation, while soft-touch fiber-textured leather trim enhances durability and tactile comfort.

The compact SUV measures 4,520mm in length, 1,860mm in width, and 1,630mm in height, with a 2,720mm wheelbase, placing it in the A-segment SUV category.

To meet increasing consumer demand for intelligent driving solutions, the Sealion 05 EV comes standard with the God's Eye C advanced driver-assistance system (DiPilot 100) featuring 29 sensors. It supports highway/expressway pilot navigation assist, full-scenario parking, and other high-level smart driving functions.

The intelligent cockpit is powered by DiLink 100, enabling continuous voice interaction, 3D vehicle control, semantic recognition, and deeply customized navigation for a personalized in-car experience. The SUV also includes remote monitoring features, such as "Sentinel Mode," for enhanced security and convenience.

Built on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 Evo, the Sealion 05 EV features the latest CTB (Cell-to-Body) structural safety architecture, integrating a rear-drive safety powertrain, front-positioned impact absorption system, and the internal skeletal CTB structure. Safety is further reinforced with 360-degree panoramic imaging, driver fatigue monitoring, BSD blind-spot detection, and AEB automatic emergency braking.

The SUV rides on a front MacPherson strut and rear five-link independent suspension setup, offering responsive handling and a minimum turning radius of just 4.65 meters. It is available with two battery options, which deliver 430km and 520km CLTC-rated range, respectively.

Charging efficiency is another highlight—the rear-positioned charging port, combined with a high-power DC fast-charging system, supports a peak charging power of 156kW. This allows the battery capacity to be charged from 30% to 80% in just 18 minutes.

Leveraging the high integration of e-Platform 3.0 Evo, the Sealion 05 EV offers a 110L front trunk and over 30 storage compartments throughout the cabin. The center console includes a magnetic tissue box, while hidden hooks in the front row, rear seats, and trunk ensure maximum convenience for family travel needs.
