Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 3, Chery Auto celebrated a historic milestone as its Tiggo 5x series surpassed 1 million units in cumulative global exports, cementing its status as a cornerstone of the automaker's overseas success. A grand ceremony marking the 1 millionth export unit was held in Dalian city, making the Tiggo 5x the second model in Chery's Tiggo lineup—after the Tiggo 7—to reach the one-million-unit exports mark.

The Tiggo 5x has reached over 80 markets worldwide, performing well in Europe, South America, and the Middle East. The spotlight of the event fell on the Tiggo 5x Excellence Edition, the latest iteration of the SUV series, which debuts comprehensive upgrades in powertrain technology and chassis tuning.

Powered by a new-generation 1.5L engine paired with a 9-speed CVT, the Tiggo 5x Excellence Edition achieves a leading 40% thermal efficiency. Its chassis, fine-tuned by master engineers, ensures smooth handling across diverse terrains, while an EPS electric power steering system enhances stability and maneuverability.

Safety remains a standout, as the Tiggo 5x Excellence Edition is the only model in its segment to earn a 5-star ANCAP safety rating in Australia, said Chery. It comes standard with ABS+EBD, EPB+AUTOHOLD, Bosch ESP, TPMS, and HDC hill descent control, delivering top-tier passive and active protection.

Inside, the cabin blends minimalist design with comfort, featuring a unified central control panel and ergonomic leather seats. A 10.33-inch HD infotainment screen and an 8-inch climate control touchscreen offer intuitive connectivity and crisp visuals, elevating the tech-driven driving experience.
