Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 4, zero-emission long-haul truck developer Windrose Technology announced the roll out and initial delivery of its flagship electric heavy-duty truck, the Windrose R700, to leading global logistics provider Kerry Logistics.

The Windrose R700, designed from the ground up for zero-emissions long-haul transportation, boasts a massive 729 kWh battery pack, enabling exceptional range and stability during long-distance operations. Equipped with an 800V high-voltage platform, the R700 achieves ultra-fast charging, adding up to 400 km of range in just 35 minutes. It features three high-efficiency motors that deliver robust power and acceleration, ensuring reliable performance across various terrains.

Previously, Windrose collaborated with Kerry Logistics on multiple tests, including a round trip from Kunshan to Beijing (2,365 km) with only two charging stops. The duo also tested the vehicle through a direct 677 km journey from Jinan to Nanjing, which was completed without recharging and with 32% battery remaining at the destination. These trials demonstrated the R700's impressive range and efficiency.

The first batch of the Windrose R700 trucks rolled off the production line in December 2024, which marked the start of delivery for the model in the domestic market. Deliveries in the U.S. are planned for the first half of 2025, followed by European markets in the second half of the year. The truck will subsequently roll out in Australia, New Zealand, and other regions.

[Automotive: Toyota Decides To Halt Development Of Certain Models]
Toyota Motor Corporation has decided to halt the development of its next-generation battery electric vehicles, specifically targeting a sedan model for its luxury brand Lexus that was originally planned to commence production in mid-2027. This vehicle, featuring fast-charging capabilities and longer cruising range, was showcased at the Japan Mobility Show in October 2023. Initially planned for market launch in 2026, its production start was later postponed to 2027. Over the past year, Toyota's global electric vehicle sales exceeded 190,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 42.4%. However, the decision by the Trump administration in the US to eliminate tax incentives for electric vehicle purchases has created adverse market conditions.
