CALB Unveils "Boundaryless" Solid-State Battery Technology with 2028 Mass Production Target

[CALB Launches Solid-State Battery Technology] On August 28th, CALB (China Aviation Lithium Battery Co., Ltd.) unveiled its "Boundaryless" solid-state battery. According to the introduction, this solid-state battery boasts an energy density of up to 430wh/kg and a capacity exceeding 50Ah, while achieving significant breakthroughs in battery operating pressure, lifespan, and power. It is scheduled for small-scale vehicle integration in 2027 and mass production in 2028. Solid-state battery technology has long been regarded as the representative of the next-generation battery technology. Currently, multiple companies have made notable R&D progress in the field of solid-state batteries and are actively promoting their industrialization. Presently, all mainstream domestic battery enterprises have released solid-state battery products, with disclosed mass production timelines falling between 2026 and 2028.
